From politics, courts, crime, special investigative reports, tornadoes and heartwarming stories about people pulling together in a time of need -- Kelli's covered just about every type of story in Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan. But her job is never boring. She rarely knows what her daily assignment will be until she arrives at work each morning, and even then, a breaking news story can change her day in an instant.

Kelli's won awards for her work at WSBT 22, including investigative reports on Sextortion and dangers some social media apps pose for local kids, as well as an exclusive interview with a Metro Homicide detective about the case involving the gruesome beating death of 10-year-old Tramelle Sturgis.

In 2015, she was honored as Indiana's best reporter by the Associated Press.

Reporting on local issues is important to Kelli because she and her husband and their two young sons are also building their lives in this community.

A Central Illinois native, Kelli moved here from WICD-TV in Champaign, Ill. in 2006, where she learned how to shoot and edit video, run live trucks and report. Kelli earned a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Go Illini!

When she's not on the job, you'll probably find Kelli spending time with her family, squeezing in a quick work out or gardening. One of Kelli's favorite things to do is connect with and meet new people, so if you ever see her out and about be sure to say hello!

You can watch her reports on WSBT 22 Monday through Friday at 4, 5 and 6 p.m.
