Suzanne Spencer is thrilled to be a part of the WSBT 22 family! She has a passion for writing and storytelling and believes the best stories are all around us.

Suzanne came to Michiana from her hometown in Lafayette, Indiana. She graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana with a degree in English Writing and a minor in Media Studies. At DePauw, Suzanne worked at the Prindle Ethics Institute where she created and implemented events surrounding journalism ethics.

Suzanne worked for WGRE-radio and created a 20-minute documentary on controversy surrounding Indiana High School athletic conferences. Suzanne's documentary was a finalist for in-depth reporting and for Best Indiana Sports Documentaries. At DePauw, Suzanne was the recipient of the Elizabeth Turnell Award which recognizes an outstanding senior for their contributions to the broadcast field.

Suzanne interned at FOX59-WXIN in Indianapolis on a feature segment called "Champion of the Week." The segment highlighted exceptional individuals around the Indianapolis area who contributed to their community.

Suzanne also interned at CBS4-KCNC in Denver as a general news and investigative intern. In Denver, Suzanne had the opportunity to work alongside reporters who covered one-year-anniversary stories of the Aurora Theater shooting.
In her free time, Suzanne enjoys running, hiking, trying new places to eat, and sewing.
