A rural Rochester man has been arrested after he was stabbed during a domestic dispute on Tuesday.
Fulton County police say they received a 911 call around 9:20 a.m.
A person was being stabbed at a home in the 700 block of South Fulton County Road 300 West.
The county sheriff's department asked Indiana State Police for help.
A preliminary investigation shows Nicholas Ponto, 30, got into a physical altercation with his adult girlfriend. During the fight, the woman apparently stabbed Ponto with a knife in his left shoulder.
Ponto was taken to Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester where he was treated and released. He was then arrested and taken to the Fulton County Jail on a domestic battery charge.
Police say it also appears the woman suffered injuries during the altercation, although not seriously.
