Police say an 18-year-old female was killed in a roll-over accident on the 2200 block of Linco Road in Lincoln Township Thursday night.

Police have identified the driver as Angela Nitz-Leitch of Baroda. Nitz-Leitch is believed to be a 2013 Lakeshore High School graduate, according to the release.

Dispatch says the call came in around 11:58 Thursday night. The exact time of the accident is unknown because no one saw it. A passerby called it in.

Upon arrival police found the teen trapped in her 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada. The woman was freed from the vehicle and pronounced dead.

Police say Nitz-Leitch was driving eastbound on Linco Road when she lost control and left the roadway. After what appears to be an attempt to bring the vehicle back on the road, it rolled over and came to rest on its roof.

Police say the teen was wearing her seat belt. They do not believe alcohol or excessive speed were factors.

Nitz-Leitch may have fallen asleep while driving home from a friend's house, according to the department.
