BERRIEN COUNTY -

A man was killed and his daughter injured Saturday after a motorcycle and SUV collided in Berrien County.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Red Arrow Highway and County Line Road in Watervliet Township.

Police say a 26-year-old woman in a Chevy Blazer was driving southbound on County Line Road when she stopped at the intersection of Red Arrow Highway.

The woman began to enter the intersection, directly in front of the eastbound motorcycle driven by 54-year-old William Raymond of Watervliet.

Investigators say Raymond was unable to avoid a collision with the SUV and died from his injuries.

His daughter, 20-year-old Arica Raymond, was also injured in the crash. She was transported to Lakeland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

The Berrien County Prosecutor's Office will review the collision and make a decision on any pending charges.
