An Illinois man will soon be heading back to St. Joseph County to face murder charges.
Anthony Jefferson waived extradition in an Illinois courtroom yesterday.
U.S. Marshals took him into custody about two weeks ago after a standoff in Illinois.
Last week he indicated he was going to fight coming back here.
Jefferson is charged in a double shooting on Brookfield Street in South Bend earlier this month. One man died.
Police say Jefferson also kidnapped a woman and her son from a Mishawaka ATM and stole money and cigarettes from a convenience store.
It's not clear how soon he'll be back here.
