Four Winds Field was graced Thursday night by the presence of a medical marvel. Tommy John, the man who made a surgery famous, signed autographs and talked with fans during the Silver Hawks game. John won 288 games in his Major League career, 164 of those after he had a career-saving procedure. Dr. Frank Jobe performed the surgery in 1974 to replace a torn ligament in his left elbow. Meanwhile, the Silver Hawks beat the Great Lakes Loons, 3-1.
