What would you do with $636 million?
Tuesday night's Mega Millions jackpot was the second largest in U.S. history and has people lining up to buy tickets.
Lines were long and steady as people rushed to buy a chance at becoming a multi-millionaire.
The Mega-Millions jackpot is mega big...$636-million but could go higher because of strong sales.
The winning numbers were 8-14-17-20-39 and 7.
While this is the giving season, people are hoping it turns into the winning season for them.
A little history behind the Mega Millions game:
In May 2002, New York and Ohio joined Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey and Virginia to create Mega Millions!
Now, it is played in 43 states, including the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tuesday, WSBT asked people what they would do if they matched all 6 numbers.
"I would donate all of it," said Victor Nemhard of Michigan. "I hear bad luck follows people that get this."
Brian Bishop of South Bend said he would "get out of this weather" and head "probably down to Florida."
Then, Albert told WSBT, "First thing you do is help out family members, then, you give some to charity. Then, you go hide for awhile."
The cash payout option is an estimated $341 million.
Hoosier Lottery officials said they were selling $210,000 worth of tickets each hour on Tuesday.
